Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to ensure reliable operation of manufacturing and industrial equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, fabricate and repair metal components, and support production by minimizing downtime and improving equipment reliability. This role requires hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, industrial, metalworking, and manufacturing environments, with a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment, machinery, conveyors, motors, and utilities to maximize uptime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures; implement timely repairs and adjustments.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and PLC ladder logic to perform accurate repairs and installations.
• Perform metalworking tasks including welding, cutting, grinding, and basic fabrication to repair or modify components and fixtures.
• Install, adjust, and align mechanical components (shafts, bearings, couplings) and electrical components (motors, starters, sensors, control panels).
• Maintain and calibrate instrumentation and control devices; work with PLCs, relays, and control systems to restore and optimize operations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, update CMMS/work order systems, and manage parts inventory to support proactive maintenance planning.
• Implement and follow safety procedures including lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and PPE requirements; participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to prioritize repairs, support process improvements, and lead root-cause failure analysis.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with demonstrated electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience on bearings, gearboxes, belts, chains, conveyors, pumps, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
• Experience with CMMS/work order systems and preventive maintenance practices.
• Working knowledge of safety regulations and practices (OSHA, lockout/tagout, confined space procedures).
• Good problem-solving skills, ability to read blueprints and technical manuals, and strong communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Able to lift heavy objects, work in varied environments, and be available for shift work or on-call maintenance as required.
