Senior Accountant (F9232026-AM) Washington, District of Columbia Salary: USD85000 - USD95000 per year Senior Accountant - Washington DC Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Corporate Accounting team. This role will be responsible for supporting the month-end close process, preparing and reviewing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, assisting with financial reporting, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial results. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries and maintain supporting documentation Perform monthly balance sheet and bank account reconciliations Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities Analyze financial results and investigate variances Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules Support internal and external audit requests Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls Partner with finance and operational teams on accounting matters Identify process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting function Participate in special projects and system implementations as needed Must-Have Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications CPA or CPA-track preferred Public accounting experience a plus Experience supporting audits, consolidations, or multi-entity environments preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
