Description

• Conduct assessments and evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients to create a comprehensive understanding of their needs.
• Craft individualized treatment plans focusing on specific communication, cognitive, and swallowing goals.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions that emphasize language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure a unified approach to care.
• Educate patients and families to facilitate the progress of therapeutic goals beyond the clinic.
• Provide occasional speech therapy evaluations and interventions in an inpatient setting as needed.
• Ensure meticulous documentation in compliance with state regulations and best practices.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred - Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
