Description

• Conduct assessments on diverse populations from pediatric to geriatric, utilizing both standardized tests and observational strategies.
• Create tailored treatment plans focusing on both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing abilities.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy targeting various areas such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, ensuring a comprehensive approach to each patient's care.
• Provide guidance and education to families to enhance patient progress beyond the clinical setting.
• Participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care for our patients.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation that adheres to all relevant state, federal, and organizational requirements.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and peer collaboration to stay at the forefront of the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) prior to ASHA certification, if not certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
