DEPARTMENT: 770 – Shipping/Receiving

POSITION ACCOUNTABLE TO: Customer Support Supervisor

POSITION TYPE: Full-time, hourly (Non-exempt)

JOB SUMMARY: This entry-level position will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and verifying all incoming customer parts and materials. This position ensures that all received items are properly identified, documented, and staged for production in accordance with customer requirements and internal quality standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

o   Receive and inspect incoming customer parts, materials, and purchase orders.

o   Greet customers at the service counter and handle incoming deliveries from carriers (UPS, FedEx, etc.)

o   Verify incoming shipments for accuracy, including part numbers, quantities, and documentation.

o   Perform visual inspection of received parts for damage, prior processing, or nonconformities.

o   Stage parts on designated receiving shelves and maintain accurate identification and traceability.

o   Complete and file all receiving documentation in accordance with company procedures.

o   Communicate with customer service and production teams regarding received jobs and scheduling priorities.

o   Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of the receiving area.

o   Support process improvements and maintain compliance with company quality standards.

o   Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.

o   Work overtime or weekends as needed to support customer demands.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

o    Ability to read and write in English

o    Legible handwriting

o    Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously

o    Basic sketch and blueprint reading skills

o    Use inspection equipment (calipers, micrometer, mechanical gages, x-ray, and thickness gages)

o    Detail-oriented

o    Basic computer skills

o    Basic mathematics skills

o    Positive, can-do attitude with excellent attendance and punctuality

o    Must be able to work independently with little supervision after completion of the training period

PREFERRED SKILLS:

o    Ability to speak Spanish is a plus

o    Experience with FedEx and UPS is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

o    Ability to stand and/or walk on your feet for extended periods of time

o    Must pass a drug test and criminal background check

o    Ability to lift and move 50 pounds without mechanical assistance

EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE:

o    High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Previous experience in shipping, warehouse, or production
