Parts Manager

A heavy equipment dealership in Michigan is seeking a hands‑on Parts Manager to lead its parts department. With decades of service in the equipment industry, this organization prides itself on strong customer relationships and a team‑oriented culture. This role will be part of a small, collaborative department. The ideal candidate must be comfortable wearing multiple hats and contributing in multiple capacities, from leadership and inventory management to direct customer support and counter sales. Responsibilities Oversee daily parts department operations, including inventory, ordering, and customer service Lead and support a small team, ensuring workflow efficiency and strong communication Manage parts inventory levels, stock orders, returns, and vendor relationships Assist customers at the counter and over the phone with parts identification and order processing Work closely with the service department to ensure timely parts availability for repairs Monitor parts margins, aging inventory, and overall department performance Maintain accurate records in the dealership’s inventory and business systems Coordinate shipping, receiving, and logistics functions Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance customer satisfaction Qualifications 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment parts operations Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong knowledge of parts inventory control and vendor management Ability to multitask and work effectively in a small team environment Excellent customer service and communication skills Proficiency with dealership management systems and Microsoft Office Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Equal Opportunity Employer All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status. #J-18808-Ljbffr
