Advocacy Campaigns Manager - WestThis position will be responsible for devising and executing proactive, externally focused communications strategies to build and maintain relationships with key NGOs, trade associations, think-tanks and nuclear energy and consumer influencers. A priority focus will be organizing and coordinating coalitions designed to influence assigned state (primarily California and Texas) policies and federal policies related to low and zero - emissions energy and understanding the political and policy pressure points and encouragement to advance reliable energy policies . Stakeholder management will be a key aspect of the role, including identifying and working with key community, industry, grassroots, grasstops, and third-party influencers, and building and managing networks of supporters and activists. This role also leads the execution of Constellation's advocacy, education, and engagement campaigns across a variety of channels and tactics including grassroots mobilization, coalition engagement, stakeholder outreach, events, media, and digital advocacy to build momentum and galvanize support for key policy and business priorities. The position will report to the Senior Manager, Public Affairs Campaigns and work collaboratively with Government Affairs & Public Policy, Communications, the Generation and Commercial businesses, Marketing, Brand and Reputation, Investor Relations, Legal, and other Constellation organizations.Primary Duties and AccountabilitiesPartner with Government Affairs, Communications, Marketing, Legal and other teams to develop and execute strategic and comprehensive campaign plans in support of key local, state and federal policy objectives.Identify, engage and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, community leaders, industry partners and third-party advocates to advance business and policy priorities.Lead advocacy, education and stakeholder engagement efforts across multiple channels, including grassroots mobilization, coalition activation, stakeholder outreach, events, digital advocacy and direct engagement with policymakers.Monitor emerging issues from the federal and state executive branches and in legislatures.Provide strategic recommendations to advance support for business and policy priorities.Create and execute strategic and comprehensive campaign plans in support of key state and federal public policy objectives.Develop and maintain relationships with key thought leaders, influencers, NGO's and allied advocacy groups. Build and maintain grassroots coalitions.Manage agency contracts and relationships to build modern, state-of-the-art digital campaigns and develop messaging documents for public policy priorities and stakeholder activation initiatives, including fact sheets, FAQs, mailers, digital ads, and other collateral.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree8-years of experience in political/policy communications, advocacy, journalism, public relations or related experience.Excellent writer and cogent thinkerFamiliarity with digital campaigning and social media campaigningDemonstrated talent for strategic problem-solving and with a bias for actionDemonstrated organizational agilityDemonstrated excellence in project managementPreferred QualificationsExperience gained from a political campaign, advocacy group, think tank, journalism, Congressional office or similar organization.Existing relationships with influential NGOs, academic orgs and/or think tanks in the environmental/energy sector.Experience and knowledge of energy policy and politics
