Job DescriptionWe are thrilled to present an exceptional opportunity to join our esteemed culinary team at the renowned Fairmont Olympic Hotel as a Cook II. This is a full-time position, mainly working dinner service in the staff cafeteria. As a Cook II, you will have the chance to learn and expand on your culinary skills while creating exceptional meals for the Olympic staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of cafeteria-style meals
- Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure consistent quality and taste
- Handle food ingredients and kitchen equipment with care and precision
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to meet service and production goals
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Assist with receiving and storing food supplies
Your experience and skills include:
- Able to work in a high-pressure environment
- Valid Food Handler Certificate required (can be acquired upon hire.)
- Previous experience in the culinary field preferred
- Must hold valid authorization to work in the USA
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements Include:
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
