Lead Actuary, Retirement Plan ServicesAn exciting opportunity to take a lead role on the RPS Pricing and Risk team responsible for product strategy, pricing, and actuarial risk management. You will serve as the lead analyst on strategic projects that support the business — building the analysis, developing the recommendation, and helping senior decision makers land on a path forward. You will also deliver the key reporting that informs how leadership manages product, pricing, and risk governance, including support for our stable value rate setting process. This position is built for someone who can work independently, communicate credibly with senior leaders, and turn complex analysis into recommendations that move the business forward.Supporting strategic projects: Leading assigned workstreams on strategic initiatives from direction through implementation — developing the approach, managing timelines, coordinating with cross-functional partners, and carrying the work through to a recommendation with limited day-to-day oversight. Communicating and influencing: Building the supporting analysis and presenting findings and recommendations to leaders across RPS Finance, Product, Investments, and Risk; working through differing viewpoints to help reach alignment. Analyzing: Evaluating market dynamics, competitive positioning, profitability, and risk exposures to deliver actionable recommendations grounded in data. Reporting and rate setting support: Delivering monthly and quarterly reporting on product performance, pricing, and risk governance, including key metrics for RPS management and corporate stakeholders; supporting the stable value rate setting process in partnership with Product, Investments, and Finance; ensuring strong controls and minimizing operational risk. Innovating and automating: Identifying and implementing process improvements, automation, and enhanced data visualization that raise quality and efficiency across the team.Must-haves: 6+ years of increasing experience in pricing, product, reporting, or risk management within financial services that aligns with the specific responsibilities of this position. Demonstrated ability to carry a project from start to finish, including scoping, execution, and implementation across multiple stakeholders. Executive presence — the ability to communicate clearly and credibly with senior leaders and influence outcomes through well-supported recommendations. Strong technical skills and understanding of actuarial, mathematical, and financial concepts. Proficiency in advanced Excel and at least one programming or analytics tool (e.g., VBA, Python, SQL, Dataiku, Power BI). Demonstrated critical thinking and the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and draw valid conclusions. 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, data science, computer science, or engineering).
