Merchandiser

One of our major luxury fashion clients is currently seekign a Sr. Merchandiser for the season. Starting ASAP role would last till end of October. Role is in office in Midtown NYC and pays $40-45/hr depending on experience. Candidate must have a background in luxury and experience with RLM. Experience with NuOrder and 42 is a plus. Overview Detail oriented, results driven, and entrepreneurial individual sought for Merchandiser/ Merchant role. Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects for all divisions (RTW and Accessories). This role partners closely with merchandising leadership, sales, design, planning and production teams to support assortment strategy, analyze business performance, and manage merchandising operations throughout the product lifecycle. The position provides exposure to product strategy, market insights, and category growth. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong product sensibility within the luxury market, and brings both analytical rigor, strategic business acumen, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Analyze sales performance, assortment productivity, and seasonal trends to inform merchandising strategy. Partner with merchandising and sales teams to identify opportunities within the assortment and support category growth. Identify assortment opportunities through data analysis and collaboration with design, development, production, and sales teams. Maintain assortment sheets, SKU tracking, and pricing documentation. Communicate assortment updates and ensure all systems and documents are maintained accurately. Support line openings including preparation of line sheets, sales clinic materials, and sample coordination. Partner with the merchandising team through market period, with a focus on market readiness, selling support, real-time business analysis, and rapid post-market execution. Manage merchandising systems and documentation including RLM and NuOrder with the ability to manage assortment data, SKU information, line lists, pricing, product updates, and integration across systems. Prepare market selling recaps, bi-weekly selling reports, and in-season performance analysis. Maintain line lists, add/drop updates, price change memos, and product knowledge materials. Generate NRF codes and ensure accurate SKU management and reporting. Continuously seek deep competitor insight and trend prediction of categories Qualifications 4-6 years of merchandising experience within luxury or designer fashion. Direct experience in handbags and footwear merchandising required. Strong analytical skills and understanding of retail math. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Advanced proficiency in merchandising and wholesale platforms, particularly RLM is required. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams. #J-18808-Ljbffr
