Purchasing Specialist (CR/511423) Jersey City, New Jersey Salary: USD35 - USD35 per hour A consumer products organization is seeking a Purchasing Specialist in Jersey City, New Jersey. This hybrid role supports purchasing activities, vendor coordination, and a new global packing program in a fast-paced, highly organized environment. About the Opportunity Shift: Day shift Schedule: Monday to Friday Hours: 9am to 5pm Setting: Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days remote) Responsibilities Manage purchase order activities, including order placement, vendor coordination, shipment tracking, invoice review, and vendor confirmation follow-up Serve as a point of contact for vendors and internal store partners regarding purchasing and replenishment activity Coordinate internal purchasing requests by gathering specifications, requirements, and supporting documentation Place replenishment orders and manage order routing assignments Maintain accurate records of vendor communications, pricing, availability, reorder information, and product details Support the launch and ongoing coordination of a new global packing program by tracking tasks, timelines, deliverables, and follow-up items Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience Experience in procurement, purchasing, planning, buying, operations, or project coordination Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to gather requirements and coordinate across multiple stakeholders Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives Desired Skills Experience with SAP purchasing and procurement modules Familiarity with shipment tracking tools, freight booking, or LTL shipping processes Experience supporting cross-functional business initiatives or process improvement efforts #J-18808-Ljbffr
