Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)Join our team as a rotating shift, PRN, Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) in Pittsburg, TX.Thrive in a People-First Environment and Make Healthcare BetterWe empower our team with career growth opportunities and resources that support your wellness, education, and financial well-being.We prioritize your well-being with a supportive, inclusive culture where you are valued and cared for.We use advanced technology to support our team and enhance patient care.Get to Know Your Team:UT Health Pittsburg offers 25 private rooms, a 24-hour Level IV trauma center and Level III stroke center, surgical suites, advanced diagnostics, a sleep lab, swing bed care, 16 physician offices, and a UT Health East Texas Olympic Center fitness facility.Responsibilities:Administers care to a patient population ranging from newborn to geriatric and utilizes a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to ensure that each patient receives nursing care appropriate to his/her illness or injury.Prioritizes patient care need based on the patient assessment and uses the nursing process to implement a plan of care appropriate to each patient's needs.Delivers care consistent with physician's orders and treatment protocols and in accordance with hospital and departmental policy.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentDegree in nursing from an accredited school of professional nursingCurrent Texas RN licenseBLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient careAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required before end of orientationPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required before end of orientationNIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification required before end of orientationPreferred Job Requirements:One year of emergency nursing experienceTwo years of acute care nursing experienceCENTrauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
