Research Assistant

IRIS Kinetics

Boston, MA

At IRIS Kinetics, we’re building next-generation diagnostic technology to enable rapid, high-sensitivity detection of biomolecular interactions. We’re looking for a hands‑on Research Assistant to join our team and help drive experimental work across our platform—from surface chemistry and assay workflows to instrument operation and data analysis. What You’ll Do Surface functionalization (e.g., polymers, NHS chemistry) Preparation of buffers, reagents, and assay materials Operate and maintain biosensor instrumentation Support assay development, optimization, and validation Analyze and document experimental data Help maintain lab operations (inventory, organization, equipment upkeep) At least a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field with 1–2 years of lab experience (industry or academic) OR a master's degree in a related field. Hands‑on experience in the following: Surface/polymer chemistry Biosensors or microarray-based assays Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating protocols Comfortable working in a fast‑paced start‑up environment Experience with optical assays or biosensing technologies Familiarity with antibody conjugation or nanoparticle bioanalytical assays Exposure to kinetics‑based binding assays for therapeutics development Work on the cutting edge of diagnostic technology Be part of a collaborative, fast‑moving team Opportunity to grow with an early‑stage, innovation‑driven company #J-18808-Ljbffr IRIS Kinetics
