Responsibilities Complete all jobs according to company standards, practices, and mission statement Safely load, transport, and unload customer items in accordance with state and local laws Assist in training new hires in subordinate roles Attend all mandatory training, meeting & events Daily truck safety inspections Help maintain trucks and equipment with daily inspections and reporting of any observed issues Maintain and reinforce a safety culture at The Junkluggers Embrace, implement, and promote continuous improvement ideas Provide operational support when needed, such as dispatching Engage with customers to facilitate purchase and drive value Serve as the point person in the field for both management and your fellow Luggers Participate in key grass roots marketing efforts Qualifications Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must – this is a customer-facing role Ability to learn and use technology in the field to execute job requirements, quickly and efficiently Learn and master skills of both Navigator and Driver positions Ability to effectively utilize and manage resource locations (donation, recycling, and disposal centers) and use them efficiently Attention to detail in understanding truck operation, maintenance, and care Exhibit a strong safety attitude and be assertive with others when enforcing safety practices and other company policies Confident and courageous in reporting infractions, accidents, or other issues to management Ability to influence and lead team(s) in the field and show potential for advancement Ability to work full-time, including some Saturdays Obtain and maintain a valid driver's license with clean driving record Must be able to commute to/from our location Clean driving record Ability to pass background check and drug screen Supply own mobile phone (company will provide tablets for on-the-job duties) Ability to lift 75 lbs #J-18808-Ljbffr The Junkluggers of Southeastern MA & RI
