Physician - Overnight Hospitalist

Job Title

The Minneapolis VA Medical Center is a 200-bed facility that provides tertiary-level care for veterans throughout the Upper Midwest and is a major teaching affiliate of the University of Minnesota. Evening/overnight duties include but are not limited to: independently admitting and managing patients on medical wards and step-down units; co-managing post-operative surgical, rehabilitation, and psychiatric patients; participating in emergency responses (therefore must be AHA ACLS and BLS certified); performing triage of outside admissions; and supervising medical residents and other health professions trainees. Qualified candidates will have an academic appointment at the University of Minnesota Medical School.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
