Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is sought for a position at a healthcare facility in Saint Augustine, Florida. This role involves providing inpatient outpatient surgical care, with experience in Phase I and Phase II PACU, as well as overflow and extended stay PACU. Candidates are required to bring their active Florida Registered Nurse license on the first day of the assignment. The position is scheduled to start on August 3, 2026, and requires full commitment for the contract duration.
Job Details:
- Position: PACU RN
- Location: Saint Augustine, Florida
- Shift: 12-Hour Day Shift, from 07:30 AM to 08:00 PM
- Schedule: 36 hours per week, variable days
- Assignment Dates: 08/03/2026 to 10/31/2026 (13 weeks)
- Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, including at least 1 year in PACU; prior procedural experience preferred, with trauma level experience (Level 1 & 2); teaching hospital experience and EMR (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Sunrise) experience preferred.
- Certifications and Licensure: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required; active Florida RN license or Compact license required at submission.
- Patient Populations: Orthopedic, general surgery, endoscopy, cardiac and EP procedures including TEE, vascular, thoracic, neuro, and GYN surgeries.
- Float Requirements: Floating between Preoperative Holding and PACU units will be required based on staffing needs.
- Travel & Float: Travel required; floating is mandatory between units.
- Additional Information: No work history gaps over 30 days without explanation; references needed within the last 12 months; unit manager interview required; flu vaccination or medical declination documentation required prior to start.
- Notes: Confirmed no limitations preventing acceptance; professional has explored housing options; schedule requests from 09/03 to 09/08.
