About the Role
The Company is in search of a VP, Operations and Maintenance for its Monarch Compute Campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading safe, compliant, and high-availability operations and maintenance of the power generation and energy infrastructure that supports a mission-critical data center campus. This senior leadership role demands a professional with a strong background in power generation, mission-critical facilities, or heavy industrial operations, and a proven track record of at least 15 years in the field, with a minimum of 10 years in senior leadership positions. The VP will be accountable for operational and maintenance readiness, day-to-day plant performance, and the integration and governance of key O&M counterparties. Key responsibilities include owning the site's safety culture, operational discipline, and compliance with all relevant laws and standards. The role also involves operational readiness and mobilization, multi-party O&M execution, plant performance management, maintenance strategy, spare parts and inventory management, interconnection and grid interface coordination, systems and data governance, contractor and vendor management, and budgeting. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, with a preference for those holding an MBA or equivalent business qualification, and professional credentials such as PMP or PE. Experience in PJM and with West Virginia or Appalachian-region generation assets is also desirable. The VP will be expected to build and lead a high-performing operations team, maintain local stakeholder communications, and own the site's emergency response planning and drills.
