Alzheimer's & Dementia Companion – Boston AreaAs an Alzheimer's & Dementia Companion with Qualicare, you'll provide specialized, patient-centered support for clients living with memory loss and cognitive decline. Working under the guidance of a Care Coordinator, you'll bring structure, comfort, and connection to each day — helping clients feel safe, valued, and understood, while giving their families real peace of mind.What You'll DoProvide patient, reassuring support with personal hygiene and daily routinesPrepare meals suited to client needs and preferencesMaintain a clean, calm, and clutter-free living spaceAccompany clients on outings, errands, and appointmentsOffer gentle reminders and assistance with medicationsSupport safe mobility and transportationEngage clients in memory-friendly activities, conversation, and companionshipUse redirection and calming techniques to help ease confusion, anxiety, or agitationFollow individualized care plans designed around each client's cognitive needsMaintain accurate documentation, including behavioral and condition changesWhat We're Looking ForA dementia certification or willingness to obtainExperience with Alzheimer's, dementia, or memory care is a strong plusPatience, empathy, and a calm presence in challenging momentsCurrent CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to complete trainingA clear TB test or chest x-rayReliable transportation to travel within your service areaA working phone and internet accessCompensation: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
