CNC Milling & Turning Setup Machinist

Blaine, MN

Pay: $38.00–$42.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)

We are seeking 1–2 experienced CNC Setup Machinists to join our growing team in Blaine, Minnesota. We are looking for skilled machinists with experience setting up CNC mills, CNC lathes, or both who take pride in producing high-quality, precision-machined parts.

What You'll Do

• Perform complete setups on CNC milling machines and/or CNC turning centers.
• Install tooling, fixtures, jaws, and work holding.
• Set tool and work offsets.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and setup documentation.
• Perform first-piece inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Make machine adjustments to maintain close tolerances.
• Edit offsets and minor program changes as needed.
• Troubleshoot tooling, machine, and quality issues.
• Monitor production to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience .
• Proven experience performing complete CNC machine setups independently.
• Experience with CNC milling machines, turning centers, or both.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
• Experience using:
• • Calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Indicators
  • Height gauges
  • Other precision measuring equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to consistently hold tight tolerances.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable attendance and a positive team attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:

• Fanuc controls
• Haas
• Makino
• Mori Seiki
• Mazak
• Nakamura-Tome
• Okuma
• Mill-turn or multi-axis machining
• Aerospace, medical device, or precision machining environments
