Contract Duration: 6 Months (Potential for Extension or Full-Time Conversion)
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour (W2)

Work Schedule:

• Monday - Thursday: 7:30 AM - 6:30 PM (1-hour lunch)
• Overtime available based on business needs (average 40-45 hours/week)

About the Role
Genentech is seeking a Logistics Specialist I to support warehouse and distribution operations in a cGMP-regulated environment. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping marketed products while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare marketed products for shipment.
• Receive, store, and issue materials in accordance with cGMP guidelines.
• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, walkie riders, and turret trucks.
• Safely move products and non-GMP supplies throughout the warehouse.
• Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and safety checks.
• Enter and maintain data accurately using SAP and other business systems.
• Maintain organized documentation in accordance with company record retention policies.
• Support departmental improvement projects by gathering data, analyzing processes, documenting procedures, and communicating findings.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5-6 years of relevant warehouse, logistics, inventory, manufacturing, or distribution experience.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and business systems such as SAP.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or alternate shifts when needed.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, or a related field.
• Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or inventory management within a regulated environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Willingness to work overtime as business needs require.
• Consistently follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
