We have an opening for a Manufacturing Technician who is responsible for packing molds.Essential Job Functions:Pack sand moldsBreak up sand molds and slagAbility to apply mold coating and ramming/packing sand moldsRemove gates, sprues and other projections from castingsClean castings and patternsFollow oral and written instructions and/or direction given by supervisors to complete assigned work projectsSafety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.Requirements:Safe operation of all toolsMaterials handling experience preferredAbility to work in a team-oriented work environmentDemonstrates excellent communication skillsRequired Physical Demands:Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products.Must be able to stand, sit and bend for long periods of time.Work Environment:Manufacturing environment: loud noise levels, high temperatures, dirt and sand,Required PPE: steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, dust masks, and/or respirators.Townley, part of Weir, is a proven industry leader in delivering advanced wear solutions for abrasion and corrosion challenges across dredging, mining, and power generation.
