Competitive pay: $30-$37/hr Flexible PRN scheduling Reliable hours available PRN opportunities within the largest post-acute care network in South Carolina Potential full-time opportunities available Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will provide skilled therapy services designed to help residents improve function, increase independence, and enhance their quality of life. Key Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist Follow physician orders and individualized treatment plans Document daily treatments, weekly progress notes, and resident outcomes accurately and timely Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the Occupational Therapist Assist nursing staff with training and implementation of restorative programs Participate in interdisciplinary care planning, rehabilitation meetings, and discharge planning activities Educate residents, families, and caregivers on maintenance programs and discharge recommendations Assist with cleaning and maintenance of therapy equipment and treatment areas Report equipment concerns and assist in maintaining a safe therapy environment Participate in staff education and in-service training programs Ensure compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and payer requirements Maintain positive and professional relationships with residents, families, staff, and healthcare providers Qualifications Education & Experience Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills Licenses & Certifications Current South Carolina Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing Must maintain all required continuing education requirements Must remain in good standing with the applicable State Board What Makes You a Great Fit Passion for helping residents maximize independence and quality of life Strong clinical and interpersonal skills Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Dependable, flexible, and self-motivated Commitment to delivering exceptional resident-centered care We are an equal opportunity employer.
