Emish Restaurant is a Ukrainian and European restaurant located in Federal Way, WA. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and responsible Dishwasher to join our kitchen team and help maintain clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen operations.
The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, able to work efficiently under pressure, and willing to support the kitchen team wherever needed.
What You'll Do- Wash and sanitize dishes, plates, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
- Operate the commercial dishwasher and follow proper procedures
- Properly scrape, wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes and kitchen items
- Put clean dishes, equipment, and utensils in their designated places
- Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and free of clutter
- Maintain a steady flow of clean dishes during busy restaurant service
- Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning and preparation tasks when needed
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, floors, sinks, and equipment as assigned
- Remove garbage and recycling according to restaurant procedures
- Keep garbage and food waste areas clean and organized
- Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly
- Help maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment
- Assist cooks and other kitchen staff during busy periods
- Complete opening and closing cleaning duties as assigned
- Follow instructions from the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and kitchen supervisors
- Maintain a professional, respectful, and team-oriented attitude
Work Schedule: Full-time or part-time; schedule will be discussed during the interview. Weekend and holiday availability is required.
Pay & Compensation: $18-21/h.
Benefits:
Full-time employees are eligible for competitive employee benefits including paid sick leave (1 hour per 40 hours worked), partial employer-covered medical insurance (75% for full-time employees), and paid vacation: 1 week after 1 year of employment and 2 weeks after 2 years.
