Here, you can do the work that matters."Why this role?- Exposure to complex processes to manufacture and assemble fuel injectors- Development of both manufacturing processes and assembly processes and the interactions between one another- This role is key to the development of work class process and risk mitigation for fuel systems for Caterpillar.Typical task breakdown:- Troubleshooting assembly equipment if needed- Assisting in process improvements for current assembly process- Understanding and walking back issues that occur due to first test pass failures- Creating and updating all APQP elementsInteraction with team:- Cross functional work with quality, manufacturing engineering, and operationsTeam structure:- Work with 13 other manufacturing engineers and test engineers on the team reporting up through tech service managerWork environment:- Offices are located inside of factory work settingEducation & experience required:- Years of experience: Min of 10 years of experience- Degree requirement: Bachelor's degree- Do you accept internships as job experience: Yes- Are there past or additional job titles or roles that would provide comparable background to this role: Manufacturing Engineer, Assembly EngineerTechnical skills (required):- Ability to facilitate and create all APQP elements including process flow, control plan and process failure modes and effect analysis (PFMEA)- Excell- PowerPoint- TeamsTechnical skills (desired):- Assembly and test experienceSoft skills (required):- Facilitate and host cross functional meetings in person and virtual- Manage priorities across multiple projects
