Shift: 12H Days (Flexible schedules including 4-day or 3-day weeks)

Hours/Week: 36-40

Employment Type: Travel RN

Licenses/Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care RN experience, stroke experience preferred

Hourly Pay Rate: $50.25

What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality nursing care in SICU/ICU, handling complex cases such as respiratory failure, stroke, sepsis, and renal failure
• Monitor and manage ventilators, assist with intubation and extubation
• Manage IV lines, CVLs, Foley catheters, and tube feedings
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, including hospitalists, RT, PT, ST, and resource nurses
• Document patient care efficiently using Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Adapt to floating to Med/Surg units as needed, ensuring flexible and comprehensive support
• Meet unit standards for safety, professionalism, and patient care excellence

What You Need

Required:

• Active RN license in Louisiana or able to obtain
• 2+ years recent acute care RN experience, including stroke patient care
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Experience with ventilator management, intubation, CVL, and tube feedings

Preferred:

• Experience working in ICU or stepdown units
• Comfort with EMR systems and ventilator protocols
