Job Description:

We’re looking for a Tradesman Plumber — or an experienced Apprentice who is qualified and ready to test for their Tradesman license — to join our team. You know enough to handle jobs confidently on your own, and you’re hungry to keep building your skills and career. As a Residential Service & Repair Plumber, you’ll diagnose, repair, and install plumbing systems in properties across DFW. You’ll communicate directly with property managers and tenants and represent Hawkhill with professionalism. Because we work mainly with property managers, there’s no upselling — just solid work done right with integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to service calls and diagnose plumbing issues efficiently and accurately.
• Perform a wide range of residential plumbing repairs, including but not limited to:
  • Leak detection and repair
  • Drain cleaning and unclogging
  • Faucet and fixture repair and replacement
  • Water heater repair and installation (tank and tankless)
  • Toilet repair and replacement
  • Pipe repair and replacement
  • Sewer and water line repairs
• Ensuring all work is performed in compliance with local plumbing codes and safety regulations.
• Interacting professionally with clients (property managers and their tenants) and providing excellent customer service.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and company vehicle.
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and timely.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies (if required).

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Tradesman Plumber License — OR Apprentice license with documented eligibility to sit for the Tradesman exam — is REQUIRED.
• 2–6 years of hands-on residential service plumbing experience. We want someone who has mastered the basics but is eager to keep learning, adapt to new systems, and grow into a leadership role as our plumbing division expands.
• Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems, codes, and best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.  
• Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in various conditions (e.g., confined spaces, outdoors).
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Reliable and punctual.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with specific plumbing software (e.g., Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan).
• Backflow prevention certification.
• Gas line installation and repair experience.

Job Type: Full-time  

Salary: $25-35 per hour (depending on experience)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• On-call (potentially)
• Overtime may be required

License/Certification:

• Texas Tradesman Plumber License, OR Apprentice license with eligibility to sit for Tradesman exam (Required)
• Valid Texas Driver's License (Required)

Work Location: On the road (serving residential clients in the DFW area)
