Work Environment

This position is fully remote, enabling the flexibility to operate from anywhere while contributing to our mission of providing comprehensive mental health care. As a Telehealth Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will leverage modern technology to conduct assessments, therapy sessions, and ongoing care management, fostering meaningful connections with patients in a virtual format. Our workweek is typically Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts required based on patient demand.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and compassionate mental health assessments, carefully considering the interplay between physical conditions and mental well-being.
• Develop and implement integrated treatment plans that holistically address both psychiatric and medical needs, aligning therapeutic interventions with each patient’s unique circumstances.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based approaches tailored to diverse patient backgrounds and challenges.
• Work closely with a team of medical professionals, ensuring continuity of care and sharing insights that enhance treatment outcomes for patients.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and immediate therapeutic strategies.
• Educate patients about the vital connection between mental and physical health, empowering them with knowledge to actively manage their own health conditions.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards while adhering to electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with individuals facing complex medical and psychiatric challenges. This includes patients struggling with chronic conditions that exacerbate their mental health issues, such as chronic pain syndromes, autoimmune diseases, and substance use disorders. A strong commitment to understanding the multifaceted nature of these patients' problems is essential for successful treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Colorado, reflecting your qualifications to practice independently.
• Proficiency in addressing the mental health needs of individuals with co-occurring medical conditions, alongside a demonstrated ability to deliver integrated care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering trust and rapport with diverse patient populations.
• A commitment to maintaining professional boundaries, adhering to ethical guidelines, and ensuring patient confidentiality.

Compensation and Benefits
