Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – West Virginia

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Morgantown, West Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12 hours per week, including weekdays and weekends. Flexible scheduling based on unit availability.

Highlights:

• 26-week contract with possible extension
• 34-bed acute medical-surgical unit with diverse patient diagnoses and care needs
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-7
• Cerner EMR system
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, phlebotomy, and rapid response teams
• Collaborative team environment balancing experienced and novice staff members

Requirements:

• Active West Virginia or Compact RN License (pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (all must be American Heart Association)
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Two manager or charge nurse references from the past two years
• Permanent address at least 100 miles from facility (75-100 miles considered case-by-case)
• Proficiency in medical-surgical nursing skills including blood product administration, wound care, IV management, and BiPAP/CPAP management
• Strong attendance record and reliability expected throughout contract
