FOX 2 / STL 11 News in St. Louis is searching for a dynamic, creative News Producer who can craft a compelling, engaging content that is urgent and relevant to our viewers. The ideal candidate is a works well in a team setting, with strong communication and collaboration skills.Duties & Responsibilities Include:Find and evaluate daily news content for relevance and impactOrganize and craft content and rundowns using strong editorial and creative judgementEffectively and efficiently manage time and workflowUse skills to win weather and breaking/developing storiesWrite and copy edit scriptsRequest and create graphicsWork with news team on story selection and overall focus of contentContribute to the daily editorial processExecute strategies that engage and grow audiences across all platformsPerforms other duties as assignedKey traits & competencies:Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, or a related field3+ years producing or relevant work experience preferredStrong news judgment and journalistic integrityAble to excel under tight deadlinesExcellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with colleaguesDetail orientedAbility to see big-picture and execute broad strategic and brand initiativesAbility to learn, master, and utilize newsroom technologyFlexibility to work any shiftSCAM ALERT:Please be aware candidates may be at risk of being targeted by scammers seeking personal data or money.
