Technical Sales
Pulva Corporation is looking for a Technical Sales professional to help customers identify the right equipment for their applications and guide opportunities from initial inquiry through order.
This role combines sales, problem-solving, and mechanical aptitude. An engineering degree is not required. We are looking for someone who is comfortable learning industrial equipment, asking good questions, building customer relationships, and working with our engineering and manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer inquiries and sales opportunities from initial contact through order
- Understand customer applications, materials, processes, capacity requirements, and goals
- Recommend Pulva equipment and solutions based on customer needs
- Prepare quotes, proposals, and follow-up communication
- Build relationships with new and existing customers and identify additional sales opportunities
- Work with engineering and manufacturing to develop solutions for more complex applications
- Communicate equipment capabilities, specifications, options, and lead times to customers
- Maintain accurate quotes, customer information, and sales activity in our ERP/CRM system
- Participate in customer visits, equipment testing, trade shows, and occasional travel
- Develop a strong working knowledge of Pulva equipment and the industries we serve
Qualifications
- Mechanical or technical aptitude
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into practical equipment solutions
- Organized with strong follow-through
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with sales, engineering, and production
- Experience with industrial equipment, manufacturing, technical sales, applications, estimating, service, or a related field is preferred
- Ability to travel to visit customers.
A mechanical engineering degree is not required. We are open to candidates with hands-on technical or manufacturing experience who have the ability and interest to grow into the role.
