Roadway Project ManagerNV5 is looking for a seasoned Roadway Project Manager to join our growing Transportation Design team, in Alpharetta, GA. If you thrive in a collaborative environment, love mentoring others, and have a passion for delivering smart, sustainable roadway solutions—this is your next big move.As a key player in our team, you'll:Lead the charge on small to large-scale transportation projects—from concept to completion.Drive proposal writing, marketing efforts, and client engagement to win new work.Oversee roadway design across a spectrum of projects: rural roads, urban arterials, and interstate highways.Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and consultants to deliver high-quality PS&E packages.Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and long-term success.Mentor junior engineers and guide CADD technicians in plan production.Represent NV5 in professional organizations and technical societies.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil EngineeringMinimum 10+ years of engineering experience in transportation and/or site civil design Includes a combination of roadway, interstate, traffic, stormwater, irrigation design, and utility relocationsExperience with traffic signal and roundabout design is a plusMinimum 5 years of experience managing tasks, projects (small to large scale), and professional/technical staffProven ability to manage project budgets effectivelyStrong understanding of transportation design and construction standards Additional experience in traffic engineering, environmental constraints, hydraulics, and drainage is a plusDemonstrated history of meeting project deadlines and budgetsSkilled in developing relationships with municipal, county, and state agencies for transportation and/or site civil projectsProficient in design software including: MicroStation, Inroads, Open Roads Designer (ORD)Autodesk Civil3D 2018Proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff, and managementAbility to adapt and respond quickly under pressureStrong team mentality and a positive, proactive attitudeExperience with GDOT and local municipalities roadway design projectsCertifications / LicensesGeorgia Professional Engineer (PE) license required, or ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employmentProject Management Professional (PMP) certification desirable but not mandatoryGSWCC Level II Design Professional Certification preferredNV5 offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, PTO, 401(k) and professional development/advancement opportunities.NV5 provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
