Job Summary Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Pediatric In‑Home Nursing Schedule: Fri, Sat, Sun (3p‑11p) & every other Sat & Sun (7a‑3p) Location: Palm Bay, FL Pay: $30 – $35 per hour Key Responsibilities Accountable for providing care based on licensure and scope of practice. Maintain updated clinical records on each patient, meeting documentation deadlines. Evaluate effectiveness of nursing service to patient and family and consult with physicians on care plan changes. Document changes in care and report all changes to the nurse supervisor. Mentor and coach new employees during patient‑specific orientations. Educate patients and caregivers on care needs. Participate in FFHC Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement (QAPI) program as requested. Continuously improve nursing care skills. Attend and complete all mandatory training/in‑services as assigned. Submit required personnel file documentation promptly. Adhere to FFHC compliance and ethics expectations. Maintain patient and family confidentiality. Communicate professionally, supportively, and responsively. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications LPN/LVN nursing degree. Unencumbered LPN/LVN license in the state of employment or multistate license via the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact. Minimum 1 year of demonstrated experience. Valid driver’s license with proof of insurance (where applicable). Clear background screening. Working knowledge of Nurse Practice Acts. Valid CPR card/certificate with in‑person instructor‑led hands‑on skills check. Clear HepB screening (where required). Clear TB screening (where required). Preferred and State‑Specific Requirements Florida: Not required to drive patients; HepB screening completed during onboarding. Illinois: Not required. Pennsylvania: Additional background screening (child abuse, FBI) and TB screening (2‑step PPD or proof of 2‑step PPD administration within last year). Texas: No additional requirements stated. Key Competencies Ability to read and communicate in English both verbally and in writing. Working Conditions / Equipment Use Work performed in patients’ homes; may involve lifting up to 35 pounds without an assisted lifting device.
