Faculty Positions in Transplant and Cell Therapy

Our organization is actively seeking to fill faculty roles at various ranks (Assistant, Associate, or Professor) within the Division of Transplant and Cell Therapy (TCT) and Hematological Malignancies. These positions include opportunities for leadership and are aimed at clinical investigators.

We are looking for dynamic clinical investigators who are eager to establish a patient-focused academic and clinical research program, collaborating closely with our established basic and translational scientists.

The ideal candidate will primarily engage in clinical responsibilities while also developing, conducting, and participating in clinical trials and collaborative research related to blood and marrow transplantation and cellular immunotherapy.

Our organization fosters a collaborative and supportive environment, particularly beneficial for recent fellows and junior faculty members.

Teaching duties will encompass supervising residents, fellows, and mid-level providers during both outpatient and inpatient care.

In addition to conventional therapies, the TCT/Hematological Malignancies Division is dedicated to innovating and implementing new treatments for hematological malignancies. This includes novel agents, small molecule inhibitors, immune therapies (such as CAR-T, cell-based therapies, monoclonal antibodies, vaccines, and gene therapy), as well as both autologous and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplants for various diseases.

Candidates may choose to focus on specific hematological diseases and treatment modalities based on their preferences.

This role is supported by our Cancer Center Clinical Trials Unit, which includes dedicated clinic spaces, infusion centers, an inpatient unit, a new cGMP and TCT laboratory, and a FACT-accredited TCT program for pediatric autologous and allogeneic BMT and immune effector cell therapy. Additionally, we have a fully characterized tumor samples repository and a state-of-the-art Children’s Hospital building that opened in 2021, all located on the Medical School campus.

Established in 1905, our organization is home to the only Children’s Hospital in the Inland Empire of Southern California, providing specialized transplant and cell therapy for children.

Applicants must possess an MD (or equivalent) and have completed fellowships in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology or Immunology. A TCT fellowship (or equivalent experience) is preferred, and candidates should be board eligible or certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology or Immunology.

A comprehensive salary and benefits package will be offered, with academic appointments reflecting the candidate's experience and qualifications. Administrative and research support, including staff and resources, will also be provided.

The compensation range for starting base salary is between $200,000 and $500,000, adjusted based on experience and faculty rank. This figure does not include variable compensation or additional productivity incentives, which will be discussed during the recruitment process.
