Preventative Maintenance Technician

Pay: $20.00/hour
Schedule: 2 Days On / 2 Days Off Rotation
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Preventative Maintenance Technician to support equipment reliability and plant operations through routine maintenance activities. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with entry-level maintenance experience who are looking to grow their skills in an industrial manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have basic mechanical aptitude, experience working with tools, and a strong commitment to safety. This role focuses primarily on preventative maintenance tasks such as changing filters, lubricating equipment, completing inspections, and assisting with routine equipment upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Change filters, belts, and other consumable components as scheduled.
• Lubricate machinery and moving parts according to maintenance schedules.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and identify potential issues.
• Complete maintenance checklists, logs, and documentation accurately.
• Assist senior maintenance technicians with repairs and mechanical projects.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and PPE requirements.
• Report equipment concerns, abnormalities, or safety hazards to supervision.
• Support continuous improvement efforts to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance, manufacturing, construction, automotive repair, industrial production, or a related field preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow preventative maintenance schedules and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and develop maintenance troubleshooting skills.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
