Senior Manager, Product Designer We are seeking a Senior Manager, Product Design to join the Global Enterprise Affairs team, part of the Experience Design organization. Role Overview You will lead two emerging spaces within the Global Enterprise Affairs organization: the Accelerator and the Enablement & Innovation teams. The Accelerator is a small, internal team focused on alleviating complex challenges, while the Enablement & Innovation team creates solutions for a diverse group of Capital One associates. Responsibilities Lead the Accelerator and Enablement & Innovation teams. Drive product strategy and co‑create innovative solutions to complex problems with cross‑functional partners. Build and nurture a high‑performing design team culture. Set team goals aligned with broader portfolio strategy and manage stakeholders. Own the problem‑solving approach, ensuring pragmatic solutions and effective compromises. Advocate for human‑centered methodologies, integrating data, research, and design expertise. Collaborate with product, tech, and business leaders to align user needs with business goals. Communicate design vision across levels and job functions, influencing stakeholders and achieving desired results. Key Competencies Product Design Expertise : Proven expertise across interaction, visual, and service design; oversee and optimize use of tools, platforms, frameworks, and design systems. Leadership : Foster a positive, inclusive team environment, remove barriers, and develop designers. Strategic Direction : Shape product direction and outcomes, ensuring user needs drive strategy. Human‑Centered : Apply data, research insights, and mature perspective to problem‑solving. Business‑Focused : Use knowledge of products, processes, customers, competitors, and market trends to guide design engagement. Problem‑Solving : Balance competing interests, explore alternatives, and bring exceptional creativity to solution space. Collaboration : Engage partner expertise across the organization, embracing compromise to solve strategic challenges. Communication : Present work across levels, modeling a strategic human‑centered approach. Basic Qualifications At least 6 years of experience in a Product Design role. At least 6 years of experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma. At least 2 years of experience in a people‑leadership role. Preferred Qualifications At least 8 years of experience in a Product Design role. At least 8 years of experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma. Experience contributing to an established design system. Experience collaborating with product, tech, and business leaders. Experience leading design projects or teams. Experience working in heavily regulated, data‑heavy problem spaces.
