Dedicated Bereavement Volunteer: Volunteer with Compassus Hospice

Compassus

Here at Compassus, we recognize the impact that loss has on the family/caregivers of our patients. For this reason, we provide bereavement services to the family/caregivers of our patients after they have passed.

Compassus Hospice of Metairie, LA is seeking a dedicated individual to assist in bereavement services provided to the families of our hospice patients.

The bereavement volunteer will:

Assist in sending bereavement mailings and making calls to families.
Recieve ample training from the volunteer coordinator regarding hospice, volunteer standards, and health and safety precautions.
Recieve ample training from the bereavement coordinator prior to task assignment.
Commit to volunteering for 2-3 hours a week to assist in berevement tasks.
