Laboratory Technician (Chemical Analysis)

Job Description and Duties

Under direction of the Chief Engineer I, have knowledge of and experience in collecting, preparing, and analyzing various water samples as required by the California Regional Quality Board and those required to control operation practices for the water and wastewater treatment process.  Math and writing skills are required to perform these duties. Assists the Water and Sewage Plant Supervisors in Plant Operations and conducts Tailgate Safety meetings weekly.  See attached duty statement.

Candidates new to CDCR/CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, as well as a Tuberculosis test/evaluation prior to appointment, followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
