Tax Specialist (Stamford)

The firm is seeking a Senior Tax Compliance Specialist to join a lean, experienced tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong alternative investment tax background who wants broad exposure across both hedge fund and private equity structures while working closely with senior members of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and oversee complex tax allocations and securities-related tax adjustments for hedge funds and private equity funds
• Review federal, state & local, and international partnership and corporate tax returns
• Review and prepare investor tax estimates, K-1-related reporting, and other investor tax deliverables
• Review tax accruals, projections, and estimates for domestic and international SPVs
• Partner closely with Fund Accounting, Investor Relations, Legal, Operations, and other internal teams
• Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, controls, and technology through automation and other efficiencies

Ideal Candidates:

• 6+ years of tax experience , ideally with exposure to hedge funds and/or private equity
• Experience in public accounting, or a combination of public accounting and private industry
• Strong understanding of partnership taxation and alternative investment structures
• Experience with both hedge fund and private equity tax is highly preferred
• CPA preferred
