Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System.

Additional Details:

RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe.

No medical marijuana cards accepted.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Cardiac drip required. Sheath pulls required. Central line management required. High risk telemetry experience required.

Unit Details: Adult patient population. Cares for cardiac telemetry and high-risk cardiology patients, including post-op open heart, new tracheostomy, and mixed medical patients with underlying cardiac conditions.

Shift & Scheduling: BJC policy: Every other weekend required. Expectation is to work 6 weekend shifts (Sat or Sun) in a 6 week schedule. No call. RTO: No greater than 7 days.

Floating Requirements: Float to any inpatient unit at both campuses, Memorial Belleville and Memorial East (Shiloh), as needed within competencies.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
