Role Description
Yourgi is looking for a VP of Engineering to lead our engineering organization, which consists of roughly 30 engineers. You will report to the Chief Product & Technology Officer and have full accountability for how engineering is structured, ships, and grows.
This is a build-and-scale role, focusing on:
- Shaping teams to own customer journeys end to end.
- Building technical leadership depth and documenting the engineering strategy.
- Making AI-assisted development the default in workflows.
- Establishing a culture where engineers own quality end to end.
- Owning the technical plan for Yourgi Connect, ensuring scalability.
- Managing delivery rhythm and metrics for independent shipping.
- Overseeing hiring, leveling, growth, and performance.
- Managing budget and tooling spend.
Qualifications
- 12+ years in software engineering, including 6+ years leading engineering organizations.
- A track record of building teams that own a product surface end to end.
- Direct experience adopting AI-assisted development across a team.
- Experience running remote engineering teams.
- Ownership of an engineering budget and headcount plan.
- Located in and authorized to work in the US.
Requirements
- Has scaled AI-assisted development across a full engineering team.
- Marketplace, gig-economy, or consumer-app experience.
- Experience with mobile and web at scale.
- Experience taking a 0-to-1 product from first markets to national scale.
