Global Clinical Program Lead, Hematology

AstraZeneca seeks a Global Clinical Program Lead to oversee clinical development and execution of hematology oncology therapeutics from preclinical through late-stage trials. The role involves strategic planning, team leadership, regulatory submissions, and cross-functional collaboration within a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical development strategy and execution for multiple hematology oncology compounds through regulatory submissions
• Develop and oversee integrated clinical development plans aligned with business objectives and competitive differentiation
• Direct clinical program teams from preclinical candidate selection through proof-of-concept to Phase 3 investment decisions
• Ensure project delivery within quality, timeline, budget, and resource constraints
• Communicate clinical development strategy at governance meetings and with external collaborators

Requirements

• M.D. degree required
• Minimum 7 years drug development experience in early and late phase programs
• Strong hematology oncology therapeutic area knowledge with diverse mechanism experience
• Proven team leadership and mentoring in matrixed environments
• Demonstrated regulatory knowledge and clinical strategy development capabilities
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and influence skills
• Project management and organizational proficiency
