Gastroenterology at West Virginia University
High Compensation | Academic or Clinical Appointment | General or Advanced GI with ERCP/EUS Available
WVU School of Medicine is expanding its Gastroenterology program in Charleston, West Virginia, offering a fully booked practice with strong regional demand, excellent clinical support, and the flexibility to shape your role around your interests. Choose an academic faculty appointment or a clinical-focused position, with opportunities for both general and advanced GI, including ERCP and EUS.

- Strong support structure: Inpatient NP team handles consults and rounding; dedicated clinic APP and GI coordinator keep things running efficiently
- Schedule: 4.5-day workweek with shared call; additional call available for those who want to earn more
- Compensation: Base salary at the MGMA 75th percentile with RVU production incentives
- Incentives: $100,000 sign-on bonus or up to $150,000 in student loan repayment, plus a residency/fellowship stipend
- Visa sponsorship: J-1 and H1B candidates welcome
- Benefits: 403(b), health and dental coverage, and free tuition at WVU campuses for family members
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent)
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Gastroenterology fellowship
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Eligible for West Virginia medical licensure
