Automation and Power Systems Maintenance Journeyman

Role focus

• Diagnose and repair electrical systems up to 480V, including motors, VFDs, PLCs, and control circuits
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems to root cause
• Execute preventive/predictive maintenance to prevent unplanned downtime
• Maintain presses, furnaces, conveyors, industrial robots, and other automated machinery
• Interpret and apply blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Complete welding/fabrication tasks when needed
• Champion safety and continuous improvement
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and restore operation

What you’ll need to succeed

• Journeyman certification or equivalent industrial maintenance experience
• At least 5 years in a manufacturing maintenance role
• Advanced electrical troubleshooting; PLC experience preferred
• Strong grasp of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation
• Ability to work any shift with overtime as required (12-hour day and night shifts available)
• Sharp problem-solving, attention to detail, and a team-first approach to safety

Physical capabilities

• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Stand, walk, bend in an industrial setting
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces when required

Compensation and schedule

• Pay range: $38.00–$40.00 per hour
• Night shift premium: +$3.00/hour (night shift only)
• Sign-on bonus: $3,000 after 180 days
• Vacation: 3 weeks after a 90-day probationary period
• Shifts: 12-hour day and night shifts available

Professional strengths

• Journeyman’s License (or equivalent)

• Industrial electrical experience; broad maintenance and repair skill set
