Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2050 per week.

Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Deaconess Health.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: - Associate degree or certificate.

Unit Details: - High-acuity cardiac-renal Med-Surg/telemetry population including Afib with RVR, Afib, flutter, blocks, heart cath patients without interventions, CHF, COPD, sepsis, BH/CIWA, post-ablation patients, and dialysis. - Expected clinical skills include tele/12-lead EKG interpretation, initiation and titration of drips including antiarrhythmics and heparin, PIV insertion, chest tube and indwelling drain management, CBI, stable drips including heparin, Lasix, and Protonix, antidysrhythmic management including Cardizem, Tikosyn dosing, and amiodarone, and nephrostomy tubes. - Ratios: Days 1:4-5; NOCs 1:5-7. Charge nurse rarely takes patients on days, but takes an assignment on NOC shift. - Teaching hospital; may require precepting students and new hires.

Shift & Scheduling: - Three weekends out of every six-week schedule. - Every other holiday. - Flexible contract hours: 48 per week available upon request.

Floating Requirements: - First to float within skill set to Deaconess Newburgh (IN) and potentially Deaconess Henderson (KY). Two hours notice is given for cross-campus float. Mid-shift float may occur within the same campus; cross-campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
