Part Time Nutrition Services Worker

Spring Lake Park Schools is looking for a Part Time Nutrition Services Worker. This position is located at Centerview Elementary and requires 5.5 hours per day from 7:45-1:15. The role is available for 168 student contact days from September to June, including two training days. The start date is immediate. The rate of pay is $20.30 per hour for Nutrition Services Part Time Associate with less than 6 hours per day. There is an additional $1.00 per hour differential for those who hold a Certified Food Manager certification. Longevity pay ranges from $1.50 to $2.75 per hour.

The nutrition team at Centerview proudly serves students in grades K-4, providing over 300 breakfasts and 500 lunches daily. The successful candidate will perform duties as assigned by the kitchen manager, including food prep, serving, cashiering, and operating a dishmachine. They must maintain a friendly and professional attitude when interacting with all students, staff, and co-workers. Attendance at job-related training classes and workshops is required to meet professional standards guidelines of 4 hours per year. The candidate must follow Department Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and maintain high standards and working knowledge of food safety and sanitation pursuant to the Minnesota Food Code.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion and passing of a background check and a pre-work physical, providing and passing 3 professional reference checks, and working knowledge of computers including email. Experience in the food service industry is preferred.
