Part Time Nutrition Services Worker

Spring Lake Park Schools is looking for a Part Time Nutrition Services Worker. This position is located at Centerview Elementary and requires 5.5 hours per day from 7:45-1:15. The role is based on a school year calendar from September to June with two training days. The rate of pay is $20.30 per hour for Nutrition Services Part Time Associate with less than 6 hours per day. Additional sick leave pay of $1.00 per hour is available for those who hold a Certified Food Manager certification. Longevity pay ranges from $1.50 to $2.75 per hour.

The nutrition team at Centerview Elementary serves over 300 breakfasts and 500 lunches daily to students in grades K-4. The successful candidate will perform duties such as food prep, serving, cashiering, and operating a dishmachine. They must maintain a friendly and professional attitude when interacting with students, staff, and co-workers. The candidate will also attend job-related training classes and workshops to meet professional standards and guidelines of 4 hours per year. They must follow Department Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation pursuant to the Minnesota Food Code.

Qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion and passing of a background check and a pre-work physical, providing and passing 3 professional reference checks, and working knowledge of computers including email. Experience in the food service industry is preferred.
