Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Delivering individualized treatment plans and supporting patient mobility and independence in a rural community. Works under occupational therapist supervision to ensure high‑quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver individualized treatment plans under occupational therapist supervision
2. Assist patients in improving mobility, independence, and daily living activities
3. Monitor patient progress and document therapeutic outcomes
4. Educate patients and families on exercises and home treatment programs
5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure high‑quality patient care
6. Maintain compliance with all regulatory, safety, and facility guidelines

Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current South Dakota COTA license or eligibility to obtain
• NBCOT certification required
• BLS certification

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience in a therapy or rehabilitation setting
