Job Title: Shipping Receiving Specialist

Employee Type: Full Time, Hourly

Reports to: Logistics & Inventory Manager

Job Location: Wichita, KS, USA

Pay Range: $18.000 + - DOE

Job Duties:

• Pull, pack and ship finished goods according to the ship list
• Check products for defects and accuracy
• Ensure that serial and batch numbers match the product, incoming & outgoing
• Verify accuracy of orders by matching them with quantities and types
• Ensure safe handling & packaging procedures are followed to avoid damage
• Follow customer requirements regarding packaging & shipping protocols & methods
• Prepare and paste labels on shipments as needed
• Make sure that items are loaded onto shipment vehicle in a safe and timely manner
• Safety operate forklift to transport or move large aerospace parts
• Safety operate overhead crane to load &/or unload large aerospace parts
• Occasional construction of shipping containers and pallets required
• Ensure that the warehouse is cleaned and maintained at all times
• Help as needed within the department with Receiving duties or assist production as needed

Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience working in Shipping/Receiving capacity required
• Experience working with raw material such as aluminum
• Overhead Crane and Forklift experience required
• Ability to work independently and honestly and also support team members
• Must display good character and work with integrity
• Aircraft or Manufacturing Warehouse experience required
• General knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer skills
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Working Conditions:

• First Shift: 8:30am - 5:00pm
• Some overtime may be necessary with or without notice
• Ability to regularly and frequently lift 50 pounds
• Frequent exposure to high and cold temperatures
• Must be able to wear safety PPE equipment, as required. Noise levels may require hearing protection.
• The essential duties job may require the ability to stoop; to reach; to stand, and to walk for extended periods of time; to push and/or pull objects weighing up to 30 pounds; to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; to use finger dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment and hand strength to grasp files and other objects; to perceive the attributes of objects by touch; to hear and verbally exchange ideas and information with the public, staff and others in the office. Frequently being on foot, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climb stairs and kneeling and/or crouch to retrieve items. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate small power tools and other equipment. Writing to complete reports and service requests. Occasionally Lifting and carrying (with assistance) items weighing 75-150 lbs.
