Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13-18 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience required License: Any active state RN license or compact license accepted Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience with Impella post cardiac surgery, post cardiac surgery care, pre/post cardiac catheterization, pulmonary artery line monitoring, and thermodilution PA catheter monitoring Experience with A-lines, vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and drawing ABGs is required Experience with Epic charting system is required Ability to pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting Description: This role requires working in a fast-paced Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The position includes caring for patients post cardiac surgery and managing complex cardiovascular conditions. The expected patient ratio is 1:2. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring critical patients on various therapies and devices, including A-lines and ventilators. Experience with high-acuity care and advanced monitoring techniques is essential. The position requires a commitment to work every other holiday and weekend. Travelers may be asked to float to other units based on patient needs and census. The facility reserves the right to cancel shifts due to low patient volumes with notice.
