About the Position

Job Title: Neuro ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Neuro ICU and/or comprehensive stroke center experience License: Active state RN license or compact license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years nursing experience - Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips - Experience in a fast-paced ICU treating neurological diseases and disorders, including seizures and strokes Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit. The nurse will work night shifts in a high-acuity unit. The role requires advanced skills in managing patients with neurological conditions. Candidates must have experience in a comprehensive stroke center or similar setting. The position involves managing overflow patients from medical surgical ICU and heart and vascular ICU. Nurses will be expected to float to other units as needed. Flexibility to work every other weekend and holiday is required. The unit treats a wide variety of neurological diagnoses, including ischemic strokes, hemorrhagic strokes, seizures, and neuromuscular disorders. Responsibilities will include handling bedside procedures and using specialized equipment for patient monitoring and care. Effective teamwork and communication skills are essential in this role.
